"I have been practicing massage, yoga, and childbirth related services for over 20 years. In my twenties I began to discover we can live in our bodies in a better way and this began my life's journey into the healing arts.
My friend was a homebirth midwife in California and I would help her with the births and give support to those in labor, but had not heard of a doula until many years later. After moving to Baltimore, I decided to make it official and become one.
After I gave birth to my last child I came upon a book called Calm Birth. It changed everything about how I work with families, and how I approach pregnancy, birth and parenting. It is a beautiful approach that incorporates yogic principles, mindfulness meditations, and breathing practices to bring calm into childbirth.
You can help your baby experience their birth in calm and without fear as you use the tools learned during class to bring calm into childbirth. This class will include coping techniques and positioning to help with an easier delivery while helping to maintain the integrity of the pelvic floor."

Calm Birth is a 3-week childbirth series providing education on how to develop or grow your meditation practice for pregnancy, birth, parenthood, and beyond. Whether you are planning a medical or a "natural" birth, you will benefit from learning ways to use the power of breath to ease your labor pains and everyday parenting challenges. $195 per couple.
