 she/her/hers

Perinatal Therapist, Clinical Social Worker

"My mission is to create a safe and welcoming space where Moms can intimately explore, reflect upon and process their experiences, while learning tools that will aid them in navigating the most transformative seasons of their lives."

Jen LaNore is a Certified Clinical Social Worker and Perinatal Therapist, as well as a trained full spectrum Doula, who is trained and experienced in supporting mothers and families throughout pregnancy and postpartum.

She has worked with pregnant and postpartum parents as a Doula, Therapist, and Social Worker in hospital, clinic, therapeutic and community settings. Her expertise is in working with moms who are experiencing postpartum depression, anxiety, pregnancies with a fetal anomaly, and loss (termination for medical reasons, abortion), as well as families managing complex and high risk pregnancies.

Jen's personal journey during pregnancy and postpartum guides her in providing care with dignity, empathy, compassion, openness and safety. She believes in catering therapeutic interventions to each client, recognizing that we all have very unique needs.

"I believe the practice of extending yourself grace through your journey of healing optimizes mental and emotional health."

She excels in providing non-judgmental support, empathetic listening, gentle reflection and validation, to help clients discover and triumph in their strengths. Jen's clients find that they are able to lean into their journey fully with confidence, that as a provider with varied perinatal experiences, she is able to meet them wherever they find themselves in their journey of healing.

Jen's advocacy interests are addressing the maternal mortality crisis, ensuring equitable delivery of care in healthcare settings, and expanding education surrounding maternal mental health.

Her personal journey during pregnancy and postpartum has ignited a passion to serve others during the perinatal period.

Jen is a proud wife and mother of two. She has an adorable miniature golden-doodle, Paisley, who she loves to take on her local nature trail. While originally from Michigan, Jen has called Maryland "home" for over ten years.
