Makenna Wheeler is a Perinatal Therapist trained at Tulane University, where she spent 900+ Clinical hours practicing in their specialty clinic - "Fourth Trimester and Beyond".
She is experienced working in multidisciplinary settings providing individual and group therapy to pregnant and postpartum people.
Makenna’s therapeutic orientations include a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., motivational interview, CBT, CBTp, psychoeducation, DBT, solution-focused).
She obtained her Perinatal Mental Health Certification through Postpartum Support International and is a proud member of the PSI organization.
Her own parental experiences have inspired her to pursue this sacred work. Her mission is to ensure new caregivers don’t suffer in silence.
