Postpartum Doula & Infant Sleep Coach
"My goal is to make sure the whole family's needs are being met, alongside the needs of their babies. Postpartum can often be overlooked, and can feel isolating and overwhelming. I decided to make this career change after noticing the effects on families who never received the benefits of postpartum support, and that I could make a tremendous impact on the wellbeing of the whole family".
Victoria has been servicing postpartum families for the last 2.5 years. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education, and for over a decade taught in several Preschools throughout Howard county. While teaching, Victoria worked with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, and gained experience with a variety of specific teaching philosophies, such as Montessori and the Reggio Emilia Approach.
With a specialty in Newborn sleep, Victoria helps families create healthy sleep habits that will last a lifetime. She loves utilizing babywearing as an incredibly helpful tool for families, especially during a newborn's peak fussy periods.
Victoria offers a broad range of experience and support, from her trainings and various life-experiences, including being there for others during some of their most difficult moments - loss & grief. "After losing my own Mother, I felt compelled to give grieving families opportunities to speak about their experiences, to help them feel like they are not alone as they go through difficult times".
With a background in Education, Victoria loves providing information and answering questions from her clients, to help increase their competence and confidence as new parents.
Victoria lives in Howard County with their Husband and two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys playing board games, spending time outdoors, and spending time with friends. "While I have ever-changing goals for the trajectory of my career, I feel like I'm currently living my 'dream'. I have a career and family I love, a fantastic support system, and a life I'd truly never thought I could achieve. I'm so honored to be considered as part of your family's support team".
