Prenatal Yoga in Baltimore 

 

You reach past your toes, right up to your edge, to peer over it. A bead of sweat drips across your brow as you sink into your stretch, and you realize: you needed this. This time to reconnect, to recalibrate, and to breath. Moms from the community surround you, on the same yoga journey through motherhood. You leave feeling a deep sense of connection to yourself, to your baby, and to your community. You are rooted.

Yoga for Fertility

 

A practice to help nurture the mind, body and spirit to prepare for the physical and emotional demands of reproduction. This class blends asana poses to strengthen and enhance blood flow to the abdomen, and relaxation techniques to nourish your spirit. This class is designed for women of all ages and stages, whether you're actively trying to conceive or are proactively planning for that "someday baby". 

Prenatal Yoga

 

Connect with a fabulous community of moms and moms-to-be for community, support, movement and meditation. Prenatal Yoga focuses on enhancing comfort, building strength & endurance, relieving stress, easing aching hips and back, and building skills for labor, birth and parenting. More importantly, each session includes a check-in for community building and mutual support. Appropriate for all stages of pregnancy.

Postpartum Yoga

 

“Mama Yoga”, like prenatal yoga, begins with a check-in, during which we share the joys and challenges of the journey of mothering. Then follows a physical practice focused on the needs of the new mom – rest, rejuvenation, posture, core strength and more. Students may begin postpartum yoga once they've received approval by their doctor or midwife. 

Baby + Me Yoga

 

Practicing yoga WITH your baby is a wonderful way to heal from pregnancy, bond mindfully and build and essential mom-tribe. This class is relaxed and informal, including activities with and without your baby (in case they are sleeping!) with plenty of time & space allowed for feeding, diapering and meeting baby’s needs. Appropriate for babies 3-weeks-old to crawling.

Family Yoga

 

Get your family out of the house, to engage together for a fun memorable experience. Enjoy interactive game-based yoga activities to get a good stretch and to plant the seeds of mindfulness and healthy living for our littlest yogis!

Special Classes:

Yoga & Massage

 

A harmonious blend of gentle yoga and massage therapy, this monthly class is designed to address the physical discomforts and tension patterns that most often accompany caring for infants and young children. Special attention is devoted to the concerns of the early postpartum period, but the class is suitable for all current and soon-to-be caregivers. $30 per class.

Dancing for Birth

 

Dancing For Birth is a 6-week trifecta of prenatal and postpartum exercise, support group, and childbirth and postpartum education! Some of the benefits can include: improving sleep, lowering your risk of gestational diabetes, balancing uterine ligaments, reducing the risk of pre-term labor, improving mood and reducing tension. Led by Certified Dancing for Birth Instructor, Shoshana Steiner. Options - $20 single class, or $100 for all 6.

Restore Your Core

 

Restore Your Core (RYC®) is a comprehensive whole-body method to retrain your core and pelvic floor muscles to be functional, reflexive, responsive and supportive to your body. It helps you learn to move better, exercise better, uncover movement compensation patterns, and create new patterns of strength, mobility, length and support. If you struggle with diastasis recti, a weak core, back pain, pelvic organ prolapse or are just looking to build a mindful movement practice with an integrated core – this 3-week series is for you. Led by Certified RYC® Teacher, Emily Lancaster. $85.

Creative Movement for Toddlers

 

Jump! Roll! Spin! Slide! Bring your toddler and get on the dance floor! This weekly creative movement class will introduce your toddler to all of the many ways our bodies move in a fun and supportive environment. You and your little will explore levels, tempo, axial and locomotor movements, yogic elements, and more. This class is developmentally appropriate for 1 to 3-year-olds. $5 per child.
