Come enjoy yoga featuring beautiful live songs by The Honey Dewdrops. Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish will be singing while playing guitar and banjo during this workshop. Kate Anderson will lead the community through a slow flow practice which is appropriate for all bodies, abilities, and levels. Pregnant students are welcome, Kate has been teaching prenatal classes for 4+ years. This class ends with a deliciously long savasana full of the duo's harmonies. This practice of combining yoga and music can heal, encourage, and nurture your soul. Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish of The Honey Dewdrops began touring in 2009 and have called the city of Baltimore home since 2014. They released their newest album, Here in the Mountains, on August 2nd 2025. Through many years of touring and playing music together, Laura and Kagey continue to expand their experimental folk sound of electric and acoustic guitars, mandolin and clawhammer banjo with tight vocal harmonies, while maintaining a commitment to deepening their understanding of the world through the lens of songwriting and music. No Depression says of their 2022 album, Light Behind Light, “The Honey Dewdrops have a way of filling their songs with humanity, using their beautiful playing and harmonies to emphasize what connects us all.” Kate Anderson, E-RYT-500, RPYT, has enjoyed teaching Yoga in Maryland for 9 years and resides in Old Ellicott City. Kate's enthusiasm for building community helps create a supportive and fun environment during classes. Given her first-hand experience with the benefits of yoga, she particularly enjoys introducing new students of all ages to the practice. Her instructions invite students to explore their own balance between effort and ease. Kate specializes in yoga for children, yin yoga, prenatal yoga, and is a birth doula.
