Community Care Acupuncture
Accessible healing, held in community
Description:
Community Care Acupuncture is a shared healing experience designed to make acupuncture more accessible while still offering deeply effective, individualized care. In this group-style setting, you’ll receive treatments tailored to your needs while resting comfortably in a calm, supportive studio space alongside others. Our studio is warm, softly lit, and intentionally designed to help you settle in with ease. You’ll choose a comfortable recliner and get cozy while others rest quietly nearby, creating a gentle, collective atmosphere of healing. We keep the space peaceful with soft music and quiet voices, allowing you to fully drop into rest. You’ll remain fully clothed for your session, so we recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing. Treatments are designed to be effective while accessing points on the arms, legs, head, and neck, offering full body support without the need to undress. Once you’re settled, your practitioner will spend a few minutes with you to understand what’s coming up in your body and what you’re hoping to receive from your session. From there, a small number of very fine, sterile needles are gently placed to support your nervous system, relieve discomfort, and restore balance. Sessions typically last around 30 minutes. Many clients notice their thoughts begin to quiet shortly after treatment begins, often drifting into a deeply relaxed state or light sleep. This is your time to pause, reset, and be held in care. This service is especially supportive for pain management, stress and anxiety, menstrual concerns, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and overall nervous system regulation. Sessions are provided by Sam Preston, a licensed acupuncturist with over a decade of experience. Sam holds a master’s degree in Acupuncture from the Tai Sophia Institute and specializes in pain management and gynecological and reproductive health. Her work is rooted in supporting the whole person through all stages of life, with particular care for those navigating the reproductive journey. This offering is available on a sliding scale to help make care more accessible. You are invited to choose the rate that feels sustainable for you, knowing your contribution supports a wider circle of care within our community. Come as you are. Rest, receive, and allow your body the space to heal.
