Postpartum Doula
I am passionate about providing trauma informed and gender inclusive care to all types of families. I believe everyone has the right to make a choice about when and how they build their family. I feel called to support parents through the messiness and chaos. I do this work because I want to support my community in their bodily autonomy through reproductive justice.

About PJ
Postpartum Doula
PJ has been supporting families as a career nanny in Baltimore since 2020. In 2024, they transitioned into birth work to help families build strong foundations for themselves and their children. They have worked closely with more than 30 families, providing education on infant care alongside practical, hands-on, and emotional support.
PJ specializes in infant feeding and lactation support. They also offer meal preparation with a focus on nourishing foods and herbs that promote healing, warmth, and milk production during the postpartum period. They're especially known for offering a comforting mug of red date tea and a shoulder to cry on when needed. PJ's goal is for every family to leave feeling more confident and able to extend softness and compassion to themselves, their partners, and their babies.
Born and raised in Baltimore, PJ studied fine art and music before the pandemic and gradually found their way to family building and parental support through their work as a nanny. After the overturning of Roe v. Wade, they immersed themselves in learning about reproductive justice, drawing inspiration from writers and activists such as Loretta Ross and bell hooks. PJ is a proud genderqueer lesbian, mother to their cat, Orca, and loves yoga, hiking, spinning in circles, swimming, and most of all, cooking.
