About Shannon
Birth and Postpartum Doula
Shannon’s passion for birth began early—sparked by the first time she saw a birth video as a child and was captivated by the magic of bringing life into the world. After earning her MBA and MA in International Development, she spent over a decade working in the nonprofit sector, advancing equity, promoting health, and building supportive communities.
While supporting close friends through their pregnancies, births, and postpartum journeys, Shannon felt a powerful calling to birth work. She dove into research, listened deeply to birth stories, and showed up in any way she could—ultimately leading her to follow her heart and become a professional doula. She completed her doula training with ToLabor and MaternityWise in 2024.
Shannon brings a calm, grounding presence to birth spaces. Her strengths include creating a soothing environment, offering intuitive massage, and using creative positioning to support labor progress. She works collaboratively with birth partners to foster a supportive and empowering experience for each family.
Originally from Colorado, Shannon now calls Baltimore home. When she’s not supporting families, she enjoys yoga, zouk dancing, hiking, hand embroidery, movies, cooking, and quality time with loved ones.
