About Neysa
Perinatal Mental Health Therapist
Neysa specializes in women's mental health and supporting individuals and families through life transitions, anxiety, trauma, stress, and emotional overwhelm. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, drawing on CBT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused techniques to help clients build coping skills, self-awareness, and emotional resilience. She is committed to creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered in their healing journey. People often leave their work with her feeling more grounded, confident, and better equipped to navigate life's challenges.
A proud Afro-Latina woman, mother, sister, friend, and therapist based in Maryland, Neysa brings both personal and professional depth to her practice. Her background spans work with diverse populations across mental health, substance use, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and care coordination, experiences that have shaped her deep passion for creating compassionate, client-centered spaces. Her clients feel truly seen and supported through her work that is grounded in empathy, advocacy, and cultural humility.
Outside the therapy room, Neysa finds grounding and inspiration in connection, community, and the richness of everyday life. Nature, music, art, laughter, meaningful conversations, food, travel, and cheering on her son from the basketball sidelines bring her the most life and joy. These experiences infuse the warmth, authenticity, and genuine care she brings to every client relationship.
