Description:

Welcoming of non-birthing parents! Join a warm, inclusive space designed for all parents and parents-to-be, whether you’re currently pregnant, a birthing or non-birthing parent, or a supportive partner or caregiver. This class offers the chance to connect with a genuine, encouraging community that understands the joys and challenges of pregnancy and early parenthood. Through guided practice, you’ll gain techniques for breath, pressure management, and releasing tension: tools to help you feel confident and supported as you lift, carry, and move through daily life. You’ll also explore gentle yet effective poses and movements that aid in rehabbing or preparing your core and pelvic floor, building stability and strength while honoring your body’s unique journey. Whether you’re seeking community, physical support, or simply time to reconnect with yourself, this class provides a nurturing environment to grow, learn, and feel empowered throughout pregnancy and parenting. Meet instructor Sam Stuart, Trauma-informed Personal Trainer, Pregnant and Postpartum Athleticism Coach, LCSW-C: "As a licensed mental health therapist with 10 years of working experience in the field and as a fitness coach for the past 8 years, I understand that emotions are experienced in the mind and in the body. As a trauma-informed personal trainer, I am passionate about helping clients process emotions and reconnect with their bodies through healing and embodied movement. I can’t effectively do this work without an acknowledgement and awareness of how my identities, roles, and privilege intersect with how I interact with myself and others. I am cisgender, white, middle class, able-bodied, and queer. I will never be the expert on your body and I will work collaboratively with you to promote healing through consent, nervous system regulation, and mind-body connection."
